My Process

Research
My team and I wanted to dive deeper into the cause of the stress during holiday seasons for delivery drivers.
In our secondary research we found that truckers are significantly affected by mental health issues, such as loneliness (27.9%), depression (26.9%), chronic sleep disturbances (20.6%), anxiety (14.5%), and other emotional problems (13%).
Delivery truck drivers didn’t see the value in taking care of their emotional health. They find it time consuming and pointless, ultimately they end up delaying their emotional health needs until it manifests into burnout and serious mental disorders.
Competitive Analysis
I researched 8 different indirect competitors :
Biggest takeaways:
Most of them focus on one aspect; either community building or mental health.
Some of them focused on logistics of finding gas and restrooms.
There was not an app catered towards the mental health needs of trucking community.

Next Steps
Given more time I would do more testing to collect data for further improvements.
Include feature to find gas, food, restrooms, weather updates and personal audio journaling options.
Provide information and access to online counseling services such as “Better help”
Retrospective
I was excited to be part of the journey to impact trucking community. Even though this was a short project, I learned so much in this time, collaboration is the key to extraordinary results.
